Ellen DegGeneres made a nice profit on the sale of her home. The 11,511 square foot home sold for $55 million to Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster, in an off-market deal he and Ellen made, according to The Desert Sun .

According to the L.A. Times , the beautiful Los Angeles Westside home was built in 1950 for real estate developer Sidney Brody and his wife, Frances, who was a modernist art collector. Four years ago, prior to Ellen DeGeneres owning the property, it was bought for the sum of $15 million to an unnamed investor-owner who spent three years completely restoring the “Mid Century Modern” home, per The Desert Sun. Ellen DeGeneres, host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, bought the home last winter for $40 million.

Ellen’s home was set on a lush 2.3 acres, which included a swimming pool, tennis courts, and even a guest house on the grounds.

Some of the features of DeGeneres’ home were the floor-to-ceiling glass walls, which fall in line with the style of Mid Century. Ellen’s home also had a central atrium-living room in addition to the nine bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, per ABC News .

Ellen DeGeneres was able to earn a profit of $15 million when she sold it to Sean Parker. It should not be any skin off his back. After all, he is a 34-year-old billionaire who co-founded Napster, served as the former president of Facebook, and co-founded Plaxo, which, according to the Los Angeles Times, is an online address book and social service.
