According to the USGS, the latest earthquake measured magnitude-4.0 and had an epicenter 1km S of Concord, California , one that struck at 22:13:19 UTC — which was 3:13 p.m. on Sunday, in Concord, and ran 14.6 km deep, which is more than 9 miles beneath the surface of the earth.

Another earthquake shook Irving, Texas, on the same day, reports the Dallas News . That particular quake registered a magnitude 3.2 and hit the Irving area around 10:11 a.m. on Sunday, May 3.
