Val Chmerkovskiy is in a great relationship and things are going well. Now the Dancing With the Stars star is speaking out about how he wants children in the future, but it is still just a few years away. People shared the news that Val spoke out to Entertainment Tonight and shared his plans for the future.
Val would love to have kids, but he also isn’t feeling the pressure right now. Val is dating fellow dancer Jenna Johnson. He shared that he has a great father and cant’ wait to be one himself someday. He feels like he is getting better with age so that will make him an even better dad in a few years. He didn’t say that it will be with Jenna, but these two get along so great that it would be surprising if he doesn’t end up married to her at some point.
Right now, Val is practicing as uncle to Maksim’s nine-month-old son Shai Alexander. Val is obviously very happy to be an uncle and has been sharing pictures with his nephew. Maksim and his wife Peta Murgatroyd had their first child back in January. They took some time off from the show, but now they are both competing this season. Peta got sent home last week along with her partner Nick Lachey.
Val admitted that he doesn’t get to spend as much time with him as he would like, but he is working on trying to get Shai’s first word to be Val. He knows how much that would upset his brother if his son said Val before he ever said the word, dad. Val just can’t wait until Shai can realize what a cool uncle he has and appreciate it. If he has children in a few years, then these two will have kids close enough to the same age that they can really enjoy spending time together and growing up together.
