Is third time a charm for actress/producer Drew Barrymore? That’s likely what she’s hoping after it was announced on Thursday that Barrymore is engaged to art consultant Will Kopelman.
According to reports Kopelman popped the question to Barrymore in Sun Valley, Idaho, presenting her with a colorless radiant-cut diamond ring by Graff.
A person close to the couple tells PEOPLE :
“They are very happy together.”
The engagement comes after the happy couple spent 10 days over the Christmas holiday in Sun Valley. Interestingly enough the couple hadn’t confirmed nor denied their relationship until October of last year, although rumors of their courtship started back in February 2011.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Barrymore and Kopelman became engaged, back in October she told Us Weekly that she was “yearning to get married and have kids” and that Kopelman would likely propose “around the one-year mark of their dating.”
Then again it didn’t take a rocket scientists to realize that the couple were an item, constantly spotted out in public together at Broadway shows, sporting events, restaurants and other locations you would likely find a dating couple.
Barrymore was formerly wed to Tom Green from 1999 to 2001 and Jeremy Thomas for a very short period of time in 1994.
At this time Drew Barrymore’s rep has not confirmed the engagement to Will Kopelman.
