‘Dragon Ball Super’ Fan Theory: Piccolo Transforms Into Super Namekian God, Powerful Enough To Fight Jiren?

With the Tournament of Power nearing to an end, most Dragon Ball Super fans are only waiting for the second faceoff between Jiren of Universe 11 and Son Goku of Universe 7. However, other characters in the World of Void could surprisingly enter the spotlight and unleash an incredible amount of power. An interesting DBS fan theory suggests Piccolo of Universe 7 will be transforming into Super Namekian God and fight Jiren.

With less than 50 taks left in the tournament, Jiren, the mortal stronger than the God of Destruction, started meditating and appeared sure of the victory of Universe 11. He already beat Son Goku and eliminated Hit, believing all the fighters that he’s needed for are already gone. While Goku is preparing himself for another Ultra Instinct transformation, another fighter from Universe 7 could risk fighting Jiren.

Unfortunately for Dragon Ball Super fans, the character mentioned in the theory isn’t Vegeta or Son Gohan, but a Namekian named Piccolo. According to Otakukart, Piccolo will achieve the power of a Super Namekian God and get the attention of Jiren. But how can the Universe 7 Namek achieve such power?

As of now, Piccolo and Son Gohan are fighting two Namekians from Universe 6, Saonel and Pilina. As most people think, the Universe 7 fighters will emerge victorious in the battle. However, instead of being eliminated in the tournament, Saonel and Pilina could fuse with Piccolo to help him obtain a god-like power.

In the Frieza Saga, Piccolo fused with Nail, one of the strongest fighters of Planet Namek. In the Cell Saga, he fused again with another Namek, Kami, the former guardian of Planet Earth. If Piccolo merges with the two Namekians from Universe 6, he could gain an incredible amount of power and turn into a Super Namekian God. Can he convince the two Namekians to fuse with him?

After losing Hit, the Universe 6 is expected to be next universe to be erased. Cabba was already eliminated, leaving Caulifla, Kale, Saonel, and Pilina as the only mortals fighting for Universe 6’s survival. Though it’s hard for U6 fans to accept, the four fighters don’t stand a chance against powerful opponents like Jiren and Toppo. Piccolo could offer the resurrection of Universe 6 to the two Namekians in exchange for lending their power.

After the tournament, they could use the Dragon Ball of Planet Earth or Planet Namek to separate them from his body. As of now, there is no official confirmation when this will happen or if it will happen. If Piccolo really achieves such power, it could force Jiren to return to action in the Tournament of Power. Dragon Ball Super airs every Sunday morning in Japan. The anime is available in the West through streaming services such as FunimationNow and Crunchyroll.
