Dr. Drew Pinsky spent a good deal of time with Jeff Conway when the former star appeared on his show Celebrity Rehab and now he’s speaking out about Conway’s death confirming that he didn’t die of a drug overdose.
The doctor says that Conway died because of “aspiration with overwhelming pneumonia and sepsis.”
Speaking with TMZ about Conway’s condition Dr. Drew says the actor had been a serious pill popper for years and that addiction wore down his body, leading to his eventual death.
According to the Dr.:
“Jeff is another pharmaceutical death from the overutilization of prescription drugs. Please continue to pray for friends and family. They appreciate your support.”
