A reported intervention staged for Donald Trump by his kids over the mogul’s spittle-laced obsession with the legitimacy of President Barack Obama did not occur, daughter Ivanka says.
Initial reports indicated that the Donald Trump Obama intervention was planned after the Trump kids — Ivanka, Eric and Donald, Jr. — became alarmed at their dad’s high-profile and somewhat unhinged criticisms of the President in the days leading up to and after the election.
In October, Donald Trump’s Obama obsession reached a fever pitch, and the reality show businessman suggested to the media that he had, in the course of several investigations, uncovered a bit of information that would change the course of the election — heavily implying Trump had discovered information about Obama that would dissuade voters from re-electing him.
What actually happened, however, is that Trump took to YouTube and Twitter to offer President Obama $5 million dollars for his college transcripts and passport application.
The stunt was widely panned and seen as a massive embarrassment for Trump, and the mogul was ridiculed across the board for the ill-planned publicity hoax. And when Obama was re-elected, an angry Trump seethed on Twitter, suggesting Americans revolt following Romney’s loss.
The initial report on the Trump Obama intervention indicated:
“The three of them [Ivanka, Eric and Donald, Jr.] met and went to see their dad in his Fifth Ave. office … They showed a lot of respect, but told him he’s worked too long and too hard to build up the reputation he has. They understand completely he’s always been outspoken and that he likes attention, but this is too much.”
Ivanka herself hit Twitter to explain that the Trump Obama intervention had not occurred, and the mogul’s spawn said:
I totally respect @ realdonaldtrump ‘s opinions & right to articulate his views, which is what I would have told @nydailynews if they’d called me to fact check their false story. tl.gd/k5nuqd

Previously, a Trump rep had also denied the reports of a Donald Trump Obama intervention.
