Donald Trump has reportedly fired his senior adviser, Ed Brookover. A Reuters report claims that two sources close to Donald Trump’s campaign have revealed that the Republican presidential candidate has fired Brookover.
While his office issued a statement on the parting of ways, Trump has not spoken on the firing. Already mired in controversy and facing widespread censure for his comments on the Gold Star family of the Khans, Trump sought to remove the spotlight from his particularly insensitive observations.
At a rally in Columbus, Ohio, he instead announced his fears that the elections are going to be ”rigged” and promised a “bloodbath” if the Democrats attempted to rig the elections, reports The Guardian.
The obvious conclusion is that Brookover is no longer required to act as liaison and bridge the gap between Trump and the GOP because Trump has secured the RNC nomination. The statement released by the campaign, published by Reuters, thanks him for his work.
“The campaign has parted ways with Ed, but we are thankful to him for his many contributions and appreciate his continued support.”
Brookover’s role was pivotal in July’s Republican Convention in Cleveland, and he has been a political strategist of proven mettle. Stracner had been the western regional political director of the Trump campaign. The biography section of Stracner’s account on Twitter still ends with “Western RPD for Trump for President.”
As observed by Politico, the statement released by Trump’s campaign office makes no mention of Stracner or his firing. Brookover, according to the magazine’s unnamed source, was informed of the termination of his services through a phone call by Trump’s aide, Jim Murphy.
In the same rally, Trump called his Democratic presidential opponent Hillary Clinton “the devil,” to raucous applause. According to CBC News, he also said that Bernie Sanders had made “ a deal with the devil .”
Trump furthered his pro-Putin stance. The New York Times quoted his plans for involving Russia in the fight against ISIS.
“If we could get Russia to help us get rid of ISIS — if we could actually be friendly with Russia — wouldn’t that be a good thing?”
He also promised that the jobs of the mechanical belt, which have apparently “moved to Mexico and other countries,” will be returned to their supposedly rightful claimants.

Donald Trump, at the end of a somewhat long list of strange allegations made by him against various other parties, also announced his concerns over the rigging of the elections. At a Fox News show, he announced that the elections will be rigged on November 8 and urged Republicans to “watch closely” or risk having it taken away from them.
