There are a number of resort hotels at Walt Disney World which are currently undergoing major changes, but there is another one which is about to start a lengthy refurbishment. Two resorts are undergoing major room renovations while a few others are in the middle of gigantic expansions, but that isn’t stopping Disney. Beginning in January, the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort is going to start room refurbishments that will last around half a year.
There are so many things happening among the WDW resorts right now, and it’s hard to imagine that more would begin anytime soon. Disney’s Coronado Springs and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort are both having a lot of work done while Pop Century is still going through a major room refurbishment .
Now, yet another resort is going to have some work done, and it is going to last quite a long time.
According to WDW Magic , Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter will start room refurbishments at the beginning of 2018. All of the work being done in the rooms is going to be quite extensive as it will end up lasting through late spring of this year.
Hopefully, though, it shouldn’t bring about a lot of problems for guests staying there.

Port Orleans French Quarter is just the latest resort that is going to undergo some extensive room changes, but an entire theme change is not expected.
All rooms in the French Quarter will receive new bed linens, new curtains, and flooring will also be replaced as needed. A lot of new technology will also be put into the rooms as different televisions will also be installed along with USB charging ports.
As usual, the work is going to be done between the hours of 9 a.m. and dusk so that guests are not disturbed in the evenings or overnight.
Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter is just the latest resort to get its rooms fixed up, and this refurbishment is going to last quite a while. It is true that a lot of work is going to be done, but the good thing is that all amenities such as dining, merchandise, and recreation locations will remain open during the refurbishment. Walt Disney World continues its trend of updating and changing things, but it’s all for the enjoyment of the guests.
