Diddy wanted to stage a very interesting NYE celebration this year, complete with the Times Square ball painted like a giant grape. It would be super artsy and cool, too, if only he could convince the City to accept his offer of $1 million!
According to Page Six , a source claims that Diddy wants Ciroc to “be the official vodka of New Year’s Eve” and offered to donate the chunk of change to charity for the honor. Fine. It might be a supreme marketing ploy for Ciroc vodka– Times Square is already flanked with two giant billboards for the brand– but at least Diddy has promised to do good while he’s enjoying a major promotional moment.
Not surprisingly, the city refused his offer. Would it be wrong to sell out so NYC could help people in need?
