Former Vice President Dick Cheney, who died at 84, had described the US President Donald Trump as a “coward” and “the greatest threat” to the country. His family announced his death on November 3.
One of the most prominent examples of Cheney’s work is taking charge after the 9/11 attacks when George W. Bush was not present in Washington. In the 1970s, he had also worked as the White House chief of staff when President Gerald Ford was serving. He later served as Secretary of Defense.
Cheney supported Trump in 2016 despite their policy differences. Later, however, he became outspoken against Trump’s leadership. In a video promoting his daughter, he also used the moment to criticize Trump and warn others about him.
Dick Cheney was one of Donald Trump’s staunchest supporters and he now says that Trump’s a threat to our Republic! Do you agree with him?

He said, “A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters. He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it. He knows it, and deep down, I think most Republicans know.” Instead of Trump, he voted for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
He called on the citizens about their duty towards the country to defend the Constitution. Cheney’s daughter said she hopes people remember him as a courageous man who broke with his party to speak out against Trump. Several people remember him as “Darth Vader” for his role in the Iraq war and his contribution to enhanced interrogation after 9/11.
Many people have supported Cheney and are offering their condolences after his death. One X user commented, “I’ll pray for Dick Cheney’s family and his soul, but history won’t overlook the choices that sent so many of our loved ones to war.”
Dick Cheney: “In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him” pic.twitter.com/cEPBinl0tF

Urging people to believe him, one user added, “History will judge every leader by their actions, not their slogans. When a former Vice President warns of threats to the republic, it’s not partisan noise; it’s a signal to reflect, not deflect.”
Even a person who hasn’t been his supporter agreed with him, “I didn’t agree with him on much of anything but I am grateful that he spoke out at such a critical time.” Looks like America is finally done with Trump.
