‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For November 6, Impossible Machines Return For Warlocks

Destiny players have another weekend of Xûr, Agent of the Nine, to look forward to starting Friday, November 6. Warlocks get the boost this week with an Exotic piece from The Taken King, while the other classes get upgrades from the first year of the PlayStation and Xbox shooter. It’s hard to follow-up last week’s sale, so let’s see how Xûr does.
This weekend, Xûr can be found across from the Speaker in the Tower North. Simply head to the left when you first spawn in the Tower, and you’ll find him standing in front of a large, round door across from the speaker’s entrance. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.
There’s only one returning Exotic armor piece this week, and that is the Impossible Machines Gauntlets for Warlocks, which Xûr sold in his first visit following the launch of The Taken King. The Titan and Hunter helmets are upgrades from Year One, but this is the first time they’ve been on sale in Year Two.
Those unhappy with Xûr’s offerings can always pick up the Exotic Helmet Engram. Players at 300 Light and above will get a shot at a 310 Light offering. Just remember that the Cryptarch looks at your current inventory to determine what you get and may give you something for another class if the current class is loaded with Exotic helmets.

Helm of Inmost Light
The optional perks with this roll are a choice between “Ashes to Assets” and “Second Thoughts.” The former gives bonus Super energy from grenade kills while the latter gives bonus Super energy from Special Weapon kills. Finally, the third column perk is “Invigoration,” which give bonus Melee energy when picking up Orbs of Light.
The 77 Intellect roll is excellent, but Destiny players can likely do better with the perks by using Glass Needles. “Inverse Shadow” is a superior perk over the other optional perks, if you still want to play Striker at this point.
Celestial Nighthawk
The optional bonuses for the helmet are a choice between gaining Super energy from grenade kills with “Ashes to Assets” and gaining Super energy from Heavy Weapon kills with “Heavy Lifting.” The final column perk is “Infusion,” which replenishes health when you pick up Orbs of Light.
The 46 Intellect/51 Strength stat roll is a slightly above average, though you want more Intellect with this helmet since you only get one shot.
The Impossible Machines
The other available perks include “Impact Induction” for bonus grenade energy on melee hits, plus the choice of faster reload speed on Fusion Rifles or Pulse Rifles.
The 43 Intellect/44 Strength split stat-roll is decent, but placed in the right spots for the Stormcaller subclass to regenerate Super and Melee abilities faster.
