Dragon’s Breath
The large area of effect damage makes the Dragon’s Breath excellent to use in encounters with huge packs of minions, such as the final room in the secret mission to get the Black Spindle. It can be fun to use in PVP as well, but the utility is not the same as more aggressive Rocket Launchers such as The Truth.
No Backup Plans
The optional Perks include “Rain Blows” and “Impact Induction” for a choice between faster melee speed or bonus grenade energy on melee hits. There’s also a choice between faster Shotgun or Machine Gun reloads.
The 43 Discipline/40 Strength stats are average for a split stat roll. The choice of optional perks is already well suited for Destiny Defenders. The only reason to use Glass Needles is to try to get a different stat roll.
Knucklehead Radar
The optional perk gives a choice between “Inverse Shadow” to gain increased Super energy from killing minions in PVE and “Ashes to Assets” to gain bonus Super energy from grenade kills on minions. The third column perk is “Better Already” for immediate shield regeneration after picking up Orbs of Light.
The 50 Discipline and 51 Strength stat rolls are excellent for this piece. The stat and perk roll for this Destiny helmet is hard to beat. The only reason to re-roll with Glass Needles is if your Hunter needs more intellect.
Apotheosis Veil
The optional perks have the right roll with “Inverse Shadow” for extra Super energy from Grenade Kills and “Second Thoughts” for bonus Super energy from Special Weapon kills. The third column perk is set for the aforementioned “Infusion” with instant health regeneration after picking up Orbs of Light.
The 48 Intellect/50 Strength stat roll is solid for the helmet. This helmet’s utility is primarily in PVE activities and the perk rolls are excellent for it. So, no need to re-roll with the Glass Needles.
