‘Destiny’: Xûr’s Exotic Goods For April 29, Twilight Garrison And Hawkmoon Drop

Destiny players who have rolled countless numbers of Crest of Alpha Lupi Exotic Chest Armor pieces in the quest to get the Twilight Garrison can take heart Friday. Xûr has returned to the Tower for the weekend of April 29 by bringing the rare Titan armor, along with some other rarely seen items for Hunter and Warlock players, to Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Xûr can be found next to the Crucible Quartermaster in the Tower this weekend. Simply head straight toward the Vanguard hall after spawning in the tower and look against the wall on the left just before you run into the Quartermaster. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.

Xûr and his items will only be available in Destinythrough the morning of Sunday, May 1. He will be gone as soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.

Hawkmoon

Hawkmoon is still a potent Exotic weapon despite the numerous rounds of nerfs to Hand Cannons. “Luck in the Chamber” combined with “Holding Aces” gives the possibility of up to three bullets from a single magazine producing a sizable damage output. This makes the already high impact Hand Cannon particularly useful in Crucible.

Twilight Garrison

The main draw for the Twilight Garrison is the fact it makes Titans more mobile. The Tactical Air Support intrinsic perk allows players to do an evasive move while airborne by pressing B, B on the Xbox One or Circle, Circle on the PS4. This piece is best used in Crucible and is very helpful dodging incoming fire and Supers.

The 68 Discipline/62 Strength split roll is strong for the piece, and it comes with the option to carry more Special Ammo or Heavy Ammo. It also comes with a choice between increased recovery when taking Solar damage or more armor when playing the Sunstriker in Destiny.

ATS/8 Arachnid

The ATS/8 Arachnid is for Hunter Gunslingers in Destiny. The “Arachnid Sensorium” intrinsic perk keeps the Golden Gun active for about 4 seconds longer and gives Super ability a zoom. Meanwhile, it also comes with optional perks to choose between bonus Super energy Grenade kills or from Heavy Weapon kills again minions. The final column perk is “Infusion,” which replenishes health each time you pick up an Orb of Light.

The pure 70 Intellect stat roll will be helpful in getting the Golden Gun out more often. There is not much need to re-roll this piece using Glass Needles.

The Ram

The Ram is an excellent helmet for Warlock Voidwalkers, as it triggers Life Steal on all melee hits and comes with increased armor for all sub-classes thanks to the “Strength of the Ram” intrinsic perk. The piece offered by Xur also includes the “Inverse Shadow” perk, which is the best to have in PVE to gain bonus Super energy. The final column perk is “Infusion” to replenish health on Orb of Light pick ups.

The 48 Intellect/51 Strength stat roll is decent. However, the perk combination is the best possible for this Destiny Exotic piece with both “Inverse Shadow” and “Infusion.”
