Demi Lovato recently joined the au naturel club by posting a picture of herself sans makeup.
Lovato posted the picture on Twitter, writing: “No makeup! Goodnight. xox.”
Lovato has struggled with body issues throughout her life and recently visited a rehab treatment to deal with an eating disorder. Lovato documented her road from rehab back to the stage in an MTV documentary “Stay Strong.” Lovato said during the special :
“I cannot tell you that I have not thrown up since treatment… I can not tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment. I’m not perfect. This is a daily battle that I will face the rest of my life.”
“I’m not always perfectly happy with my body… After all, I’m a woman and what woman is? But I make sure I tell myself that I’m beautiful and I tell myself daily affirmations, so I would recommend that to younger girls—and guys. If you’re struggling with self-image, you’re not alone. It’s something that I still struggle with today.”
