Current Fox News commentator Dana Perino is planning on publishing a non-fiction book based on her personal experiences. Perino claims the book, titled And The Good News Is… , will be a mixture of “candid self-portrait” and self-help.

Perino served as Press Secretary for President George W. Bush from 2007-2009 and now appears as a host on the Fox News talk show The Five .

The book will be published by Twelve, which is an imprint of the Hachette Book Group. According to USA Today , the editorial director of Twelve, Sean Desmond, refers to the book as Perino’s “unlikely start, her best stories from her days as a witness to historic events and now television, and a compendium of all the hard-earned life lessons she picked up along the way.”

Desmond told USA Today that he’s excited to work with Dana Perino, who he identifies as “someone who always knows the best thing to say, and how and when to say it.”

In addition to some controversial remarks about domestic violence , Dana has recently captured some media attention after expressing dissent over her Press Secretary predecessor and close friend, Scott McClellan. McClellan published a book of his own depicting the Bush administration negatively. It’s possible that Perino, who felt betrayed by McClellan’s words, decided to use this notoriety as a chance to respond with a memoir of her own. USA Today reported that Perino’s book will not feature criticisms of George W. Bush or his administration the way McClellan’s did. However, Perino does plan to reveal “stories from behind the scenes at the White House.”

According to the Christian Science Monitor , Perino swore never to publish a book that is “degrading toward somebody else.” Dana’s book is intended to provide advice on how to be successful both professionally and personally, and is especially geared toward mending the reputation of Republican women.

“I have thought about some ideas of things I would like to explore,” she told reporters in 2009, “especially about Republican women who I think are misunderstood and miscast and ridiculed.”

According to Yahoo! News , details about the book deal’s finances were not released. Perino is being represented by an attorney from Washington named Robert Barnett, who also helped President Bush negotiate his Decision Points .

Dana Perino, who turns 42 on Friday, has a personal twitter account which she used to officially announce the book release to her followers:

Hometown paper picks up some news of mine. Just announced: May 2015 book. Thanks to all who helped get to this point. http://t.co/1pWZiXyNWX
