Trigger Warning: This article contains references to the alleged suicide, child physical abuse, and murder that some readers may find distressing.
After Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy strangled her three kids with exercise bands, they were taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in January 2023. The doctor who tried to save the life of her son appeared in court. He administered life-saving measures to save her son, Dawson, for 40 minutes. Identified as Mark Joseph Tinerowicz, he was the emergency physician on duty on the day of the murder.
He revealed in court, “I was told that he reportedly had been strangled and he was found without a pulse and not breathing.” He explained that the kid had a breathing tube and an intravenous supply of fluid and medicine placed in his leg.
He gave him CPR and continued with IV fluids and some adrenaline to restart his heart. The attorney asked him if they did not use a defibrillator. The doctor explained, “He was unfortunately never in a heart rhythm that would have made defibrillation an effective treatment.” He also noted some older bruises on the child’s legs. After 40 minutes of CPR and medication, the doctor pronounced him dead.
Clancy’s ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, also testified in court earlier. He asked everyone to be empathetic towards his ex-wife. He revealed how unhappy and depressed his wife was despite her looking happy in the photos. He described her mental health decline that impacted her judgment. According to her attorney, Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis and was under the influence of a cocktail of medications prescribed by her doctor. The practitioner ignored her symptoms and the severity of her mental decline when she had hallucinations and psychosis.
Both Lindsay and her husband have filed lawsuits against the practitioner over diagnoses and medication prescriptions. The mother is accused of strangling and killing her children. She also tried to commit suicide, which was unsuccessful, and she’s been in a wheelchair ever since. She has pleaded not guilty in court.
The case has gained national interest ever since the details of the gruesome murders came out. Many people, especially postpartum moms, have come to defend Clancy. Meanwhile, some people were shocked after learning what she had done.
Woman who killed her three children sobs as the exercise bands she allegedly used to strangle them were shown to the jury.

The courtroom video was shared by Law&Crime Trials and has gotten almost 50K views.
One viewer commented, “I can’t wrap my head around this. These beautiful, poor babies.” Another viewer praised the doctor’s efforts, “40 minutes of life-saving efforts. That’s an incredible amount of time. Usually brain death can occur from as little as 5 minutes without oxygen, and these doctors worked for 40 minutes, in addition to the time spent by the paramedics on scene and on the way to the hospital. It really goes to show you the lengths these emergency personnel went to save these children.”
One viewer asked, “Why didn’t she just jump out of the window and not harm the kids?”
“It’s astonishing how many people support her! Every moment was premeditated! The argument will be she was in PP psychosis. She no longer is. Why won’t she plead guilty because she has NO remorse,” posted one more.
This is an ongoing trial and may go on for a few more weeks. While many people have demanded life imprisonment, the verdict may depend on the jury members. In Clancy’s case, her ex-husband’s support and forgiveness may work in her favor.
