Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend are the new, proud parents of a baby girl. According to InTouch Weekly , the couple announced the birth of their daughter on Sunday, Apr. 17. Chrissy took to Instagram with a photo revealing the baby’s weight along with an announcement that read, “She’s here!”
Chrissy Tiegen’s Instagram post also revealed the baby’s name. For quite some time, fans of the famous couple have been left in suspense as John Legend and Chrissy opted to keep their newborn daughter’s name a secret until the time of her birth. But, now her name has finally been revealed. “ Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy,” the new mom wrote.

However, Chrissy Tiegen wasn’t the only parent to dote about their daughter’s arrival. John Legend also took to Twitter with an announcement about their newborn daughter. “Our new love is here!” John Legend tweeted. “Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn’t be happier!”

Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend’s baby name has been a big topic of discussion among fans and media outlets as many have tried to guess the baby’s name but have been unsuccessful. But, according to Today , there’s one person who knew about the baby name choices the couple had in mind.
During an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last month, Chirssy Tiegen revealed she’d asked President Obama about baby name choices she and John Legend were thinking about and apparently, he approved. “I asked Barack — we’re, like, very first name basis,” Chrissy Teigen revealed. “I asked President Obama if he liked one of our name choices, and he said he did. But then I realized, I should have come up with two so he could pick one, because, you know, you’ve got to be nice about it if you give someone a name.”

The latest reports about the birth of Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend’s daughter follow a string of reports about their views of parenthood and how raising a child would be factored into their fast-paced lives. According to E! News , John Legend stopped by the Real 92.3 FM radio show Big Boy’s Neighborhood back in February. He and Chrissy shared their excitement about becoming parents.
“Chrissy says it’s a lot of pressure though because everybody says she’s going to be so cute—what if she’s not that cute? Every baby is not that cute,” John Legend quipped. “Let’s just hope that she’s healthy and that’s all we are focused on.”

Chrissy Tiegen also discussed her outlook on parenthood during a previous interview with E! News. She also revealed how the baby changed she and John Legend’s life even before her birth. “I like a little chaos in life. Then baby came into our world, and we were like, ‘That’s cool but let’s do more!’” Chrissy also said, “I actually have more energy now than before I was pregnant.” she added, “I want to get her into traveling really young. As soon as someone even steps on the plane with a baby you’re like, ‘Ughhh! I feel bad for them!’ And that’s going to be us now.”
