Chris Brown is speaking out against claims suggesting that he physically assaulted a fan during a performance in Cannes last month, taking to Instagram to personally dispel the accusations while criticizing TMZ for reporting on the alleged incident.
The exchange began on Saturday, after TMZ published a report claiming that Chris Brown “stomped” on a fan’s head during his performance at a Cannes nightclub in May, prompting Brown to blast the media outlet in a video shared to his Instagram account earlier this morning.

According to TMZ ‘s report, Chris Brown “exploded in anger” after a “fight erupted” during his concert at Gotha nightclub in Cannes on May 18, ultimately leading the singer to “stomp” on a fan’s head as seen in a fan-captured video shared to the news site.
The fan in question, Malek Mokrani, claims that he suffered “neck and head pain” as a result of Brown’s attack and now plans to file a police report against the singer for damages. The site also shared a photo of a bruised Mokrani lying in the hospital while donning a neck brace as a result of his injuries.
In response to the allegations, Chris Brown shared a brief video to his Instagram account on Saturday in which he denied “beating up fans” and claimed that it was actually Mokrani who assaulted him and prompted the altercation.
“Oh, you wanna talk about mother,” Chris Brown begins in the video, referencing a line from the comedy flick, White Chicks. “Let me address this s*** real fast. Hey TMZ, f*** ya! But, I’ll let you know this: before the tour started, we’re on the ‘One Hell Of A Nite Tour’ by the way it’s going amazing, I’m loving all my fans everywhere…we went to Cannes, Gotha, that’s a nightclub I was hosting. No fans were hurt by Chris Brown. No fans were beat up by Chris Brown.”
Chris continues, “I met the owner, shook his hand, we were partying and everything else. His staff though, security, I don’t think he probably knew who I was…I don’t care but…he assaulted me. He grabbed his hand around my throat and tried to push me out of his spot. When we were walking, my security was already advanced in another spot so we handled the situation accordingly and moved on.”

Brown concludes, “This has to be a month old, so y’all need to get your news faster and stop lying to people saying we’re beating up fans, I don’t do that. Don’t get it f**** up.”
The news comes just weeks after Brown was accused of having his security team “rough up” a photographer during a launch party for WizPak in Fort Lauderdale last month.
