The Titan sub incident still haunts us. In June 2023, a massive operation was launched. News spread that a search was going on for a missing submersible with five crew members on board.

The sub had a compact inside space with just 22ft in length and 9ft in width, along with a height of a pinch over 8ft. The submersible went missing about 435 miles south of Newfoundland, Canada.

As next month will mark two years since the Titan submersible disaster, attention is once again on the incident that tragically took five lives. The small craft was operated by OceanGate Expeditions. It carried five crew members: Stockton Rush, CEO and co-founder of OceanGate, French diving expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, British billionaire Hamish Harding, and a father and son pair – Shahzada and Suleman Dawood.

On June 18, 2023, Titan was dispatched to explore the underwater gravesite of the Titanic disaster, which is around 12,500ft deep. However, it suddenly lost contact with the surface crew. The incident was discovered when the US Coast Guard announced its “catastrophic implosion” on June 22. Debris from the Titan vessel was found near the Titanic gravesite off the coast of Newfoundland. According to investigation reports, the implosion ultimately killed all five crew members on board.

After Netflix released Titan: The OceanGate Disaster, a probing documentary, the final moments on board are coming to the light, also with the last words heard from the sub. The passengers were constantly in touch with the crew members on their support vessel, named the Polar Prince.

🚨#BREAKING: New haunting footage has been released by the U.S. Coast Guard, showing the tail cone of the Titan submersible after the fatal implosion that killed five people in June 2023. Before contact was lost, Titan was repeatedly asking Polar Prince about the sub’s depth and weight. They also asked if Titan was seen on the support vessel’s onboard display. The last words heard from the sub was “All good here” during the dive, but it went silent after that. As their final words come to the surface, it becomes clear that the crew on board were not aware of any failures. It can only be assumed that all of them succumbed to the sea immediately after the implosion.

The footage of the implosion was also unveiled by BBC. It also captures the haunting sound of the exact moment. The footage also shows OceanGate CEO Mr. Rush’s wife, Wendy, who was sitting in front of a computer used for communication with the sub. When Mrs Rush heard a “door slamming” like sound about a depth of 3,300m, she asked the team to look into it. “What was that bang?” she asked.

The next text message was something that meant the sub had dropped two weights, which didn’t sound threatening to Mrs Rush or others. However, unbeknownst to the crew members, it was actually the noise of the Titan imploding.
