Grandparents Made Child Sit In The Open Doorway Of A Moving Bus Since It Didn’t Have AC!

A shocking cellphone video of a little girl sitting casually in the doorway of a fast moving bus has gone viral, reports KHOU 11 News. The video shows the girl who looks less than 10-years-old sitting in the open doorway of a modified bus.
The video of the bus, which has a graffiti on its sides saying “Big bouncy bus, ” was shot last week (on Wednesday) by a passerby on South Bernard Street near North Market Street, Brazoria County, Texas. The person who captured the video of the bus was shocked to see the sight.
The people of the Brazoria County locality where this incident was reported have reacted sharply to this video and have called for action against the guardians of the child who was exposed to danger.
The person who captured the video using his cellphone chose to remain anonymous and told KHOU 11 News:
“That’s not safe get up in there, that’s not safe at all. You gonna let that kid ride like that…it’s not safe.”
A little investigation by the news team revealed the identity of the previous owner of the bus. They decided to track down the owner and ask why they chose to keep the doorway open while the bus was moving – and have a child sitting there – of all places. However, the last owner claimed that she had sold the bus off to a relative more than five years ago and had nothing to do with it.
The news team then decided to continue their investigations and eventually tracked down the current owners of the “big bouncy bus” – only to find that there was no one at the property. However, they did have an opportunity to talk to a few neighbors who said that this was not the first time they had heard about this. The neighbor’s defense of the woman who owned the bus was that the bus did not have any air-conditioning, and the girl was only getting some fresh air.
Workers from a local day-care center who once used the bus were also shocked when they saw the footage of the girl sitting in the open doorway.
It is unclear if authorities are looking into this matter. But we certainly hope that happens, and the child doesn’t have to travel in that bus in such an unsafe manner any longer. Meanwhile, the owner is reported to have admitted to the mistake via social media and has vowed to never repeat it again.
