After losing his gig on Two and a Half Men as a result of his.. wild party life getting in the way of his work, Charlie Sheen is set to make a return on the big screen in an upcoming indie film written and directed by Roman Coppola.

Sheen will star alongside Jason Schwartzman in the indie film A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charlie Swan III . The film, according to a report by Variety, touches on various aspects of Sheen’s own life.

The film follows a charming and apparently filthy rich graphic designer whose fame and fortune have made him “irresistible to women”. After his girlfriend breaks up with him, his life begins to take a downwards spiral for the worst. Sounds familiar.

A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charlie Swan III is Sheen’s first film gig since being fired from the cast of Two and a Half Men earlier this year. Whether or not Sheen would be able to make a return to the big screen was heavily questioned, but it looks like Sheen has enough tiger blood in him to push back onto the big screen.

According to a report from a few months back, Charlie Sheen could be making it back to the small screen, too. Sheen is reportedly working on a TV adaptation of the hit movie Anger Management , and he will be reportedly taking on the role of Jack Nicholson’s character from the film. Joe Roth is also reportedly tied to the adaptation.
