Charles Krauthammer may often get grouped in with other conservatives at Fox News, but throughout his career, he has been praised from both sides of the political aisle for his insight.

He has even won a Pulitzer Prize and gone to battle with current GOP nominee Donald Trump. Therefore, when he speaks, followers of the media tend to listen a little more closely.

And for Hillary Clinton fans, what he just had to say will be somewhat unsettling.

On a recent edition of Fox News Insider , Charles Krauthammer was asked to discuss why Hillary would possibly want to go to Nebraska — a state she has little chance of winning.

As it turns out, Clinton isn’t wasting her time or travel miles.

In fact, Krauthammer says, if the election goes down to the wire, places like Nebraska may be what determines the outcome.

The video is now available at this link , but if you cannot access it for some reason, here are the words of Charles Krauthammer with regard to the November election and the difficult situation the former First Lady, U.S. senator, and secretary of State is now facing.

“They’re following the old adage that no matter how much you think you might have the advantage, you’ve got to run scared, and I think that’s right. It could hinge on one or two electoral votes. We all know what happened in 2000 (Bush vs. Gore). But I thought Hillary was caught in a terrible dilemma, and you saw it on night three with the big endorsements — Obama and her husband.”

Elaborating on that, Charles Krauthammer commented about how Clinton was embraced by Obama, “making her the establishment candidate, and there’s no way around that.”

Her husband, on the other hand, as one of the “great campaign strategists in American political history,” Charles said, “understands that every time one party has held the White House for two terms, with the one exception of 1988, in the last 60 years, they’ve been tossed out.”

As a result, Krauthammer said, Bill Clinton tried to paint his wife as a “change agent,” claiming in his speech that she was “one of the greatest change makers he’s ever seen.”

“I don’t know how credible that is, but you cannot run as the heir to Obama and at the same time as a change agent,” Krauthammer said. “That’s a dilemma she can’t solve and she didn’t in her (DNC) speech, which is why it was a relatively unsuccessful one.”

While Charles Krauthammer is right about the history of two-term presidents, Democrats can take solace in the fact that this is unlike any election that Republicans or Democrats have ever seen.

The very fact that Trump has survived what would have sunk many other candidates speaks to the unpredictable nature of it all, so it stands to reason that some of that “magic” could work in Hillary’s favor in November.

But what do you think, readers?

Is the Donald well on his way to a victory and the White House, or will Hillary be able to pull out all the stops between now and Nov. 8? And do you agree with the Charles Krauthammer take that Clinton is facing a “terrible dilemma”? Sound off in the comments section below.
