Two of the heavy-weights of European football, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, are set for a clash in this Tuesday’s Champions League action.
Both sides have already secured a qualification for the knockout round, but the group winners Atletico Madrid will be looking to make the history by winning all of their group matches for the first time.

Bayern Munich, with six points behind Atletico in the group, will play for their pride in this match. This is the first time since 2009 Bayern failed to qualify to the knockout as the group winner.
Bayern crumbled to a 3-2 defeat by Russian minnows FC Rostov on matchday five, while Atletico defeated Dutch side PSV Eindhoven 2-0 at home to seal the knockout ticket as the group winners.
Atletico had outshone Bayern 1-0 when they met in the first round of the group stage match.

Injury concerns for Carlo Ancelotti’s side are relatively minor.
One major absentee, Kingsley Coman, suffered a knee injury in France training on November 9, and he will be out for rest of the year.
But, wingers Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery both started in 3-1 win over Mainz in the last Bundesliga match. Their addition to the team will ensure more quality in the Bayern Munich team.

Left-back David Alaba played in Bayern’s last match after recovering from a injury, and he is fit to start the coming match too.
Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcanatara has hugely impressed Carlo Ancelotti in his recent games. He is likely to be included in the squad that faces Atletico on Tuesday.
Captain Phillip Lahm was handed center-midfielder responsibility against Mainz. He shone in his new role, and he will probably start in the same position in the coming match as well.
