Congratulations are in order for Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola and her boyfriend Joe King.
Accola, who plays Caroline Forbes in the hit CW series, announced that she and King, a guitarist for the band the Fray, got engaged during a recent trip to Florence, Italy.
“Cheers from the future Mr.&Mrs. Joseph Aaron King,” the 26-year-old wrote , along with a picture of which showed off her beautiful engagement ring.
King, 33, also took to the web to share the good news and posted a photo of Accola on Instagram.
“I’m a lucky man,” he wrote. Also adding a photo of a bunch of specialty cheeses with the caption “She said yes.”
According to The NY Daily News , the happy couple met through Accola’s best friend and fellow Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev .
The marriage will be the first for Accola and the second for King, who has two adorable daughters, Ava and Elise, with his first wife Julie.
The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. King weren’t the only ones overjoyed about the engagement.
Shortly after news of the forthcoming wedding went public, Dobrev, who plays both Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on VD, jumped on her Who Say account to share in the couple’s joy and point out that she was the matchmaker.
“@CandiceAccola DYING RIGHT NOW! SO excited/thrilled/happy/hyperventilating over ur engagement! #matchmadeinheaven I mean.. #matchmadebynina,” Dobrev wrote, later adding, “What colors are we thinking for the bridesmaids dresses? Because yellow isn’t a good color on me.. ? haha”
In addition preparing for her upcoming wedding (dates for the event have not yet be revealed), Accola is busy prepping for the fifth season of The Vampire Diaries, which is scheduled to hit televisions this fall.
As for King, besides creating music with The Fray, the Colorado-based artist is reportedly hard at work on a solo project, called KING.
