Cameron Diaz has no plans to rush her budding relationship with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.
If you haven’t played much attention to the actress these days, then you may have missed out on the latest news surrounding her love life. According to various reports, friend Nicole Richie decided to hook Diaz up with her husband’s brother. Apparently things are going pretty well for the couple at the moment.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean Cameron Diaz intends to drag her boyfriend into the world of wedded bliss anytime soon. The Indian Express reports Benji and the Bad Teacher star aren’t looking to get wrapped up in anything too serious at the moment.

“Benji is madly in love with Cameron, but she wants to take it slow — he isn’t her usual type. He has dated a lot of Nicole’s friends in the past but Nicole really wants this one to work,” an anonymous source recently dished to Page Six .
Do you know who else is thoroughly excited that Cameron Diaz digs her new boyfriend? Nicole Richie, of course. Since she’s person who helped get the pair together in the first place, she’s reportedly thrilled that her matchmaking skills are pretty sharp . Fingers crossed that this relationship lasts a little longer than Diaz’s previous romances.
“Nicole initiated the whole thing by inviting both of them over to her house. She knew they would get along,” a different insider recently explained.
The source continued, “She’s so excited that things are working out between them. And it’s an added bonus that she doesn’t have to deal with getting to know another one of Benji’s new girlfriends.”
However, Cameron Diaz isn’t exactly a big fan of getting hitched. In her opinion, humans often fail at marriage since the species as a whole isn’t designed for monogamy. However, that doesn’t mean she isn’t the market for a little love.
“I think that some married people have made the choice to get married, but when they see a person who is living a different way, it makes them stop and think, ‘Wait a second — you mean you don’t need to get married after all?’” she remarked not too long ago.
