The Washington Post reports that the Callin’ Oates hotline gives you four choices; “One on One,” “Rich Girl,” “Maneater,” or “Private Eyes.” Just choose your song and kiss your music emergency goodbye.
The program was developed by Michael Selvidge and Reid Butler, who work for the San Francisco communications company Twilio. According to the Post, new Twilio employees are required to create a new app when they start working. Selvidge and Butler wanted to come up with a clever pun for their app.
And apparently, there are plenty of people out there who have been craving an easier way to listen to their favorite Hall & Oates tune. The Callin’ Oates Twitter account says that the hotline has received more than 250,000 calls in the last two days.
