Bruno Mars fans were at the Honolulu concert to hear Grenade, not be threatened by the likes of such. Monday night at the Blaisdell center in Honolulu, HI, Bruno Mars finished his first song and was escorted to safety by security due to a bomb threat according to Hawaiinewsnow.com .
At 8:50 pm, the state deputy sheriffs received the threat according to Toni Schwartz, a spokeswoman for the Department of Public Safety as reported by Staradvertiser.com.
By 9:15 the concert was stopped as Bruno Mars abruptly left the stage and the special duty officers began their search. It took security all of 15 minutes to search the arena to determine it was a false alarm and Mars was back on stage performing as if nothing happened. Considering the Blaisdell arena seats up to 8,800 people, that is a rather quick check. No one was arrested for making the threat.
What Bruno Mars’ security did stumble upon was a group of ten people involved in a fight, per Staradvertiser.com. There was no link between the fight and the bomb threat. Those scoundrels were tossed out of Bruno’s concert immediately. As a true Bruno Mars fan, those people were Locked Out Of Heaven.
In fact, those were ten seats that could have been used by any number of reasonable behaving Bruno Mars fans. Tickets to this Hawaiian show were considered a Treasure.
According to Hawaiinewsnow.com, Mars had three concerts booked while he was in Hawaii. All three concerts were sold out in record time. Hawaiians were not happy with the fact that forty-two percent of the 17, 000 Mars’ tickets were sold to Canadians and people in the mainland. This forced the Hawaiian residents to buy their Bruno Mars tickets from online websites or scalpers per Hawaiinewsnow.com.
It was so upsetting that one Hawaii lawmaker proposed a resolution for future Bruno Mars concerts. He recommended that the concert venues enforce that the first forty-eight hours of ticket sales must be purchased in person. This would certainly remove any Liquor Store Blues from the Hawaiian fans that didn’t get tickets to see Bruno Mars.
One other solution? Put Bruno in the Aloha Stadium which seats 50,000 people. These kinds of concert sell outs will only bring Bruno Mars closer to being the Billionaire he wants to become. Bruno, you are the bomb!
