Bruce Jenner has finally admitted the truth behind all of the speculation about his transition. His mind-blowing, exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer left no stone unturned. But now there is one looming question everyone is wondering about: When will the world see the “new Bruce?”
According to USA Today, Bruce could step out publicly as a woman “any day now.” The decision is a very big step for Bruce since he’s battled with making the transition for more than 25 years. At the time, Bruce was still married to Kris Jenner and raising six children, so it’s quite understandable why he chose not to rock the boat.
“I’ve always been very confused with my gender identity,” Jenner said during the interview with Sawyer. “So, here I am. Stuck — and I hate the word — a girl stuck in a guy’s body. I hate that terminology,” he said. “I’m me. I’m a person and this is who I am… My brain is much more female than it is male. It’s hard for people to understand that, but that’s what my soul is.”
But last night’s E! special titled, Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce, is a clear indicator that times have definitely changed. Although not much has been said about Bruce’s transition during the latest season of KUWTK, the elephant in the room was addressed last last.
Based on last night’s episode, its quite clear Bruce took the time to explain his transition to each family member privately. Although the kids are highly supportive of him and his decision, they all admitted that it was quite difficult to process in the beginning. In fact, they still struggle with his shocking admission , reports Washington Post.
“Families of trans people often feel like they need to grieve the loss of the person that they thought they knew,” his message read at the beginning. “My family’s feelings are included here in the hope that other families will know they are not alone; and to show that families move on from this grief. Today my family loves, supports and accepts me as I am — and I am so grateful.”
At the time the episode was filmed, it was predicted that Bruce would go public sometime during the spring. However, the new announcement isn’t so shocking now since he covered a lot of the bases during his interview with Diane Sawyer. But, nevertheless, it answers the question everyone has been wondering about.
“NEWSFLASH: BRUCE JENNER IS GOING TO LIVE PUBLICLY AS A WOMAN AS SOON AS THIS SPRING (WHICH IS, LIKE, NOW), HE HAS HAD ADDITIONAL PLASTIC SURGERY, AND HIS KIDS, IN PARTICULAR KHLOE, ASK THE HARD QUESTIONS..”
Are you ready for the new and improved Bruce Jenner? She’ll be making her debut relatively soon! Part two of Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce airs Monday, May 18.
