This just in: if you’re in a glass cage of emotion, you can always find comfort in Ben & Jerry’s latest flavor creation, “Scotchy Scotch Scotch,” an ode to Ron Burgundy and the upcoming Anchorman 2 . Anchorman ice cream? Is that like astronaut ice cream?

While fans must wait until year’s end to see Anchorman 2 , they can take a trip to Pleasure Town with the small batch flavor. They won’t immediately regret that decision.

Scotchy Scotch Scotch, in honor of scotch-loving anchorman Ron Burgundy, is a “creamy concoction of butterscotch ice cream with ribbons of butterscotch swirl.” It is available to Anchorman fans and ice cream fans in participating scoop shops. Don’t worry, Anchorman lovers: it hits grocery shelves in the coming weeks.

“As a company who believes our fans deserve nothing but the best, we have great respect for Ron Burgundy, who takes the same belief to heart,” said Lisa Sholk, Ben & Jerry’s Brand Manager and brain behind the Anchorman flavor.

Anchorman Ron Burgundy, whose book comes out in November, simultaneously praised and implored its creators for more.

“Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch is a delicious ice cream and I hope Ben and Jerry consider my other suggestions,” said anchorman and fictional character Ron Burgundy. “Malt liquor marshmallow, well liquor bourbon peanut butter, and cheap white wine sherbet.”

Stay classy, Ron Burgundy.

Ben and Jerry declined to comment for the anchorman. They did, however, launch the Anchorman flavor at an event featuring Nutty, the water-skiing squirrel from the original Anchorman movie.

Yes, really. Don’t act like you’re not impressed! Anchorman superfans can enjoy video from the New York Post .

San Diego’s best anchorman, Ron Burgundy, hits the desk in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues on December 20, joined by wife and anchorlady Veronica Corningstone, weatherman Brick Tamland, man on the street Brian Fantana and sports guy Champ Kind. Whammy!

What do you think of Ben & Jerry’s Anchorman flavor? Will you try the Anchorman flavor, Scotchy Scotch Scotch? What are some other good Anchorman 2 product tie-ins?
