Bobby Brown used his Soul Food Festival appearance to show his belief in the power of prayer to heal his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. The 22-year-old remains in a medically induced coma in a long-term care facility and has depended on life support since January 31, reported the New York Daily News .
His speech after his emotional songs also revealed the strong bond that he has built with pregnant wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown.
“I dunno what the hell I am going through right now, but I am giving it to God and letting him deal with it,” said Brown.
The 46-year-old singer appeared close to tears as he expressed his gratitude for the support that his family has received for Bobbi Kristina, his daughter with Whitney Houston.
However, Bobby lightened the mood by discussing his career expansion into barbecue seasonings and sauces. With Alicia by his side at the booth, he promoted her home-cooked chicken and sausage turned into gourmet fare with the line of Bobby Brown products.
“I ain’t done with it yet. I got marinades and all kind of s*** coming out,” added Brown of future food career plans.
However, Bobby apologized to his wife and women in the crowd for his language.
“Excuse my French, baby girl. I didn’t mean to curse in front of you. And ladies too.”

Pregnant with their second child, Alicia is the bright light in Bobby’s life right now, reported Us Weekly . She is also his manager, and the couple has been married for two years with a 5-year-old son, Cassius.
In addition, Bobby has two sons, Bobby Jr., who is 21, and Landon, who is 26. His daughter LaPrincia, 25, is the third child that he had with his former girlfriend Kim Ward.
Brown and Whitney Houston had only one daughter, Bobbi Kristina. At one point, Bobby was estranged from his daughter because of his feelings surrounding Nick Gordon. But now as she remains unconscious, his anger has turned to grief.
“He hasn’t been able to accept that his daughter isn’t coming back,” said an insider.
“I think at the moment he’s worried that he won’t be able to say goodbye. Their last interaction is not the last one he wants to have with his daughter.”
As for Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend Nick Gordon , he is doing well in rehab after an intervention by Dr. Phil forced the 25-year-old to admit he needed help, reported People .
“Nick is responding well to rehab treatment with no relapses,” said a source. “The quiet time is good for him. He needed it.”
However, as the Inquisitr reported, Bobbi Kristina’s relatives are not sympathetic to Nick Gordon’s needs. Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Leolah, openly blames Gordon for her tragedy and also contended that Gordon had exploited his appearance on Dr. Phil’s show in an attempt to gain support for his side.
“I believe Nick is manipulating Dr. Phil just like he manipulated my niece Bobbi Kristina, that is what he’s doing,” accused Leolah. “His habits and his actions are not conducive nor are they consistent with anyone that is concerned for somebody.”
