Blood moon doomsday prophecies have some Christians and preppers predicting some type of disaster, or “end of days,” scenario on September 28 when lunar eclipse 2015 occurs. The blood moon, which will also be a super moon, appears on the first night of the Sukkot, a Jewish holy day.

This blood moon is the fourth lunar eclipse in the past two years and is known as a tetrad. Some feel that the moon bears the signs of “Old Testament prophesy,” which will herald in the end of times or the Rapture. Because the eclipse will also be a super moon, it will appear a lot larger in the sky.

The Harbinger , a best-selling book by Jonathan Cahn, also states that some type of apocalyptic event might occur by the end of September. The book by the pastor/rabbi based its predictions on nine harbingers, or omens, which indicate an economic collapse of epic proportion could be looming on the horizon.

A blood moon is a full lunar eclipse, where the sun’s rays hit the atmosphere and cast a “blood-like,” or red, shade onto the ground and water.
The Book of Joel has prompted some of the end days concerns of Christians. The religious text leads readers to believe that a blood moon is a doomsday omen.

“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord comes,” the Book of Joel passage states.

The appearance of four consecutive blood moons, which have all coincided with Jewish holidays, has only occured 10 times since the year 1, according to the End Time website. Significant events which have had an impact on the Jewish people have reportedly occurred in “close proximity” of the blood moon tetrads.
The first three blood moons in the past year also occurred on Jewish holidays. During Passover on April 15, 2014, the first recent blood moon appeared, the second during Sukkot on October 8, 2014, and the third during Passover earlier this year on April 4, International Business Times reports.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr , evangelical preacher John Hagee said blood moons have always been historically linked with a period which “begins with a tragedy and ends with a triumph” for the Jewish people.
“There’s a sense in the world that things are changing and God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way. I believe that in these next two years, we’re going to see something dramatic happen in the Middle East involving Israel that will change the course of history in the Middle East and impact the whole world.”
The popular American preacher narrates the Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change film, which was created to coincide with the fourth blood moon. The movie was based on Hagee’s book on the topic, the Times of Israel reports. The fourth blood moon eclipse will be visible in the America on September 29 for about one hour and 11 minutes. The lunar eclipse begins in Israel around 3:12 a.m. on September 28.
