Fresh from his divorce to Katie Lee, Billy Joel has starting dating former Young and the Restless star Alex Donnelley.
For those of you who aren’t fans of daytime soap operas, 50 year old Alex Donnelley is a German born American actress best known for playing role of Diane Jenkins on the The Young and the Restless from 1982-1984, briefly in 1986, and then from 1996-2001.
Alex Donnelley isn’t a stranger to the music world either, having been previously married to Robert Lamm, one of the founding members of the band Chicago. She has two daughters, Kate and Sean from that marriage.
According to reports, Donnelley met Billy backstage after a recent Washington D.C. concert and were said to have been immediately “taken” with each other. Donnelley has been seen at Joel’s Sag Harbor house boating and riding his motorbike.
On a bright note it’s good to see 60 year old Billy Joel finally dating someone closer to his own age; Alex Donnelley is 23 years older that Joel’s previous wife, TV food critic Katie-Lee.
