Bill O’Reilly, who was at the Democratic National Convention all day and evening, showed an interview he did with Donald Trump earlier in the day on The O’Reilly Factor. He first asked Donald Trump what he thought about Obama saying that his administration saved our country from a depression.
“No. We always have bad periods. They could have done things a lot differently and our recovery has been a very weak recovery. It’s the weakest recovery in history. It’s the weakest recovery on record,” Mr. Trump told Bill O’Reilly, before adding that jobless numbers are still high.

O’Reilly agreed that the nobody can deny how bad the numbers were for our economy, but eight years is enough time for economic recovery, and there hasn’t been as much of a change as there should be. Then, O’Reilly asked Trump about the minimum wage and how Sanders hammered him on that the night before.
“He lied about that last night. I never said I wanted to decrease the minimum wage,” Trump angrily told Bill, before indicating that each state should set its own minimum wage laws.
Then, O’Reilly questioned Trump about climate change and if he once called it a hoax.
“I want clean air, clean water, and if you look at what’s going on in China and all these other countries — they laugh behind our back at what we’re doing,” Trump said, before admitting that he might have called climate change a hoax a couple years back after studies by scientists.
Trump believes, however, that there may be some truth to the climate change movement, but that it has been greatly exaggerated. However, he doubled down when it came to NATO.
“The fact is that we are protecting so many countries that are not paying for the protection. They’re not living up to the bargain,” Trump expressed and then indicated that even though he likes the concept of NATO, it’s obsolete since it doesn’t cover terrorism.
“Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, topping her 44% to 39% in a four-way matchup including Gary Johnson (9%) and Jill Stein (3%) and by three points in a two-way head-to-head, 48% to 45%.”
CNN ‘s poll indicates that the Republican National Convention gave Trump a six-point bounce. There are other polls that also have Trump ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race.
Given that the Democratic National Convention is taking place this week, many think Hillary will get a post-convention bump as well. For the next three months, we will hear dirt on both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The 2016 election is the dirtiest in decades and will certainly test the incredibly thick skin that has helped both Trump and Clinton survive so far.
