When Queen Elizabeth Was Absent from Charles and Camilla's Marriage

It was Princess Diana who revealed then-Prince Charles' affair with now-Queen Camilla Parker Bowles during the bombshell BBC Panorama interview. "There were three of us in the marriage, so it was a bit crowded," she said. The decades-long affair sure gave tabloids many spicy headlines for years, and even after Lady Di's death, Parker-Bowles continued to be a core part of Charles' life. According to the Daily Mail, Queen Elizabeth was furious with her role in breaking Charles and Diana's marriage. According to the tabloid, she even went as far as calling her "that wicked woman." Ultimately she gave permission to Charles and Camilla's marriage, but didn't attend the ceremony herself. Later it was reported that, since she was the head of Church of England, she couldn't attend a civil union held outside the church.
