And the actor is reportedly telling his ex-fiancee that her current boyfriend, former New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez, is trouble. A rumor-busting site, however, has said that there was no truth in such reports.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who were famously dubbed Bennifer by the media, got engaged in November 2002 and were set to get married in September 2003. Ben Affleck, however, called off the wedding because of the “excessive media attention.” The pair officially ended their relationship in January 2004.
Now, there are rumors swirling that Ben Affleck wants Jennifer Lopez back in his life. In Touch reported, quoting a source, that the Batman actor was doing everything possible to keep the 47-year-old singer-actress away from Alex Rodriguez.
“Seeing Jennifer happy again with someone else has made him realize that he wants her back. Ben’s been reaching out to her in hopes that they can reconnect. He’s been trying to convince Jennifer that Alex is trouble.”
Moreover, the report also claimed that Jennifer Lopez, however, was wary of Ben Affleck’s intentions, as he had always wanted what he could not have. The source also said that she “genuinely cared” for her current boyfriend and was happy.
“Alex has told Jennifer that he sees a future with her. She loves him and thinks she might be ready to go down that path.”
Earlier, a source had told the tabloid that Jennifer wanted to get married to Alex Rodriguez by the end of the year, adding that she saw him as her soulmate.

An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that Ben Affleck stayed at the event for an hour, while Jennifer Garner stayed 30 minutes longer. They were not seen saying goodbye to each other.
The eyewitness also said, “Jen did not seem to be in a rush. Ben and Jen were near each other outside of the event, but Jen was mainly socializing with other parents and people there.”
Earlier this year in April, Jennifer Garner officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. They reportedly filed together without any lawyers, putting an end to all the speculations about them reuniting. The pair is seeking joint custody of their three children, 11-year-old Violet, 8-year-old Seraphina, and 5-year-old Samuel. The couple first announced their separation in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage.
Post-divorce, Ben Affleck was “focusing on family and working on himself,” People reported. The report quoted a source as saying that he and Jennifer Garner continue to co-parent and respect each other.
“They are working hard to continue to build a world that is right for their children. They spend quite a bit of time on this. They continue to co-parent and respect each other. I think some would be surprised to see how close their relationship remains.”

Ben Affleck recently talked about directing Jennifer Garner in a movie. He reportedly said that he would love to direct a female-led film, adding that he wanted to direct a movie that featured his ex-wife because she was “great” and she could do “something really cool.”
