Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have maintained a good relationship as co-parents since their divorce in June of 2015. While they continue to spend time together with their children, a rekindling of their romance seems to be out of the question…until recently.
According to the latest issue of In Touch , Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have “quietly gotten back together ,” and that the two recently went out on a date, this time without the kids tagging along.
“It’s happened over the last several months. They started going on out on dates, just the two of them, without the kids,” the source reveals. “And they actually had fun.”
Affleck and Garner have decided to put their divorce on hold, according to reports. The Justice League star also reportedly made a vow to mend his relationship with Jen and even made a promise to never take their relationship for granted gain.
“Jen said she felt like it was what was best for her and the family at this point,” the source says. “She chose love.”
In fact, Ben has reportedly come up with a “win back Jen” plot, and the first thing he set out to do was to convince Garner to “go out on a real date with him,” according to Radar Online .
“They’ve stopped fighting and are in a great place where they’re communicating effectively. Ben’s [Ben Affleck] also getting huge brownie points for all the daddy time he’s giving the kids, despite the crazy hours he works,” the source said.
To top it off, a big part of Ben’s plan to win Jen back is to start involving her into his film projects, something the Alias actress has always wanted.
“The biggest trick up his sleeve is his plans to involve Jen in his movie making, even starring in a film together – something she’s always wanted, but he’s always refused. He’s determined to win her back and is prepared to play a slow and steady game to make it happen.”
And if previous reports on the couple are any indication, it’s looking like Ben Affleck has managed to fulfill his promise, at least so far. The two have been spotted spending time together numerous times.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s most recent “romantic” date didn’t look too promising, however, as Daily Mail released photos of the pair looking like they’d rather be elsewhere after grabbing some breakfast in Santa Monica, California on Saturday.
In the photos, Affleck and Garner are seen walking side by side looking like they just had an argument. Jen, wearing a black eyelet top and blue jeans, seemed too focused on checking out the contents of her leather handbag while Ben, sporting a black jacket over a black shirt and a pair of blue jeans, was too busy looking at the far distance, seemingly intent on avoiding his wife’s gaze. Like total strangers, Ben and Jen walked with just enough distance between them.

Does this mean that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are headed for Splitsville again following their recent reconciliation? One can only speculate. On the bright side, at least it’s obvious that both parties are putting in the effort to work out their relationship.

Meanwhile, both Ben and Jen have been keeping themselves busy with their own respective projects. Jennifer is set to work as the voice actor for Mama Llama in next year’s Netflix animated series, LLama Llama. Ben, on the other hand, is working as an actor and director for upcoming movies Live By Night and The Batman.
