Augusta, KS – Owners of the beauty salon and gun store hybrid, Tracey’s Dream Weavers Salon and Sporting Goods, are currently facing multiple federal firearms charges, according to The Wichita Eagle . Company owners Tracey and Jeffrey Eberhart have been charged with numerous violations, which could ultimately land the pair behind bars. As of Thursday afternoon, the couple is spending some time in police custody.

According to an affidavit by a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) agent, Tracey Eberhart received a federal license as a dealer of firearms prior to opening Tracey’s Dream Weavers Salon and Sporting Goods. Her dream: sell weaponry to businesswomen. However, during the application process, Tracey failed to mention that her husband Jeffrey would be helping out at the shop.

KFDI reports that Mr. Eberhart was once convicted of arson and firearm possession, which prevents him from selling or owning guns. However, when agents paid a visit to the Dream Weavers booth at a Topeka gun show, they spotted Jeffrey peddling his wares to those in attendance. During a conversation with an undercover federal agent, Eberhart stated that his wife sold guns from the store while he made money traveling to area gun shows.

Unbeknownst to the Eberharts, undercover agents purchased guns and ammunition from Jeffrey at both the Dream Weavers store and one of the company’s gun show booths. Shortly thereafter, the couple found themselves in police custody.

As a result, Jeffrey has been charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony conviction and one count of dealing in firearms without a license. His wife, meanwhile, is facing charges of aiding a felon in possessing firearms and ammunition and providing firearms and ammunition to a convicted felon.

Both parties could find themselves spending around 15 years in prison. Combined, the couple may have to cough up almost $1 million in fines. Not surprisingly, all mentions of firearms have been removed from the company’s official website.
