CBS Television is bringing Arsenio Hall back into the late-night fold after a successful show run from 1989-1994.

Hall is once against teaming with CBS Television Distribution (CBSTVD) which oversaw his first run on television.

Announcing the new deal was CBSTVD president John Nogawski who said in a public statement:

“We’re excited to welcome Arsenio back to the family and partnering on his new, late-night syndicated talk show. Arsenio had a substantial following with his previous late-night show, and that same 18-34 audience is now right in the middle of the late-night core audience of 35-54. Years ago, he transcended time periods and attracted a crossover audience while bringing a fresh perspective to late night. That same need in the market exists today as when we originally launched. We are looking forward to the same success with Arsenio’s seasoned expertise and appeal in this genre.”

The new show will debut in Fall 2012 and will air Monday-Friday. The show will start with a 17 station launch including WPIC New York and KTLA Los Angeles at 11 p.m. and WGN Chicago at 10 p.m.

Arsenio Hall has had a sort of re-emergence lately, in May he won the “Celebrity Apprentice” title, beating out Clay Aiken. During that time he was very vocal about his desire to return to the talk-show circuit.

Recently reports had pointed to a syndicated daytime talk show.

Speaking about his new role Arsenio Hall said:

“It’s an amazing feeling to be going home to my old friends and colleagues and firing up our ‘Night Thing” and “Let’s get busy … again !”

Arsenio Hall will executive produce for the show.

I was only 9-years-old when the original Arsenio Hall Show appeared on late-night TV, yet I still remember Bill Clinton playing the saxaphone, Jim Carrey rising to fame on the heels of In Living Color and various other guest appearance, I for one will be tuning in to see if Hall can reproduce that same TV magic a second time around.
