Apple Suppliers Begin Mass Shipping 13.3-Inch MacBook Pro, iMacs

The new iMac and 13.3-inch MacBook Pro models have begun to ship from Apple suppliers, according to a report by the DigiTimes. According to that report, the brand new 13.3-inch MBP with Retina Display is included in those shipments.

The same report claims that enough supply has arrived to satisfy orders throughout a possible late September or early October debut.

Rumors claim Apple will announce three new iMac models with upgraded panels that run the new Intel Ivy Bridge processors. Currently Apple only offers two iMac lines, a 21.5-inch option and a 27-inch option. The new model is expected to be a high-end model that has been postponed because of “low yields” for a “new panel,” which sounds like a Retina display issue.

The rumor would corroborate a recent Fox News report which also claimed that Apple was in the process of refreshing its iMac line. That report claimed Apple was depleting its iMac line in preparation of the new units. Allowing stock to run out with price markdowns is a common practice used by Apple in preparation of a new product line announcement.

Among some of the expected new options coming up with the refresh are USB 3.0 ports and Solid-State Drive (SSD) options. In terms of a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, it is believed that display will features a resolution of 2560×1600. The new MacBook Pro is also expected to feature USB 3.0 and offer SSD options.

Will you be running out to pick up a new iMac when they arrive or perhaps a MacBook Pro with Retina display?
