Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are one of the few Hollywood couples who seemingly make marriage work, proving their relationship can withstand even the greatest temptations life in the limelight can offer. While Anna and Chris are definitely in it for the long haul, all relationships take work, whether that means finding a reliable method for working out differences or spicing up personal interactions. Pratt and Faris seem to have found the perfect answer. Wrestling.
Anna Faris And Chris Pratt Enlist The Aid Of Dave Bautista
When Anna isn’t acting or hosting her recently launched podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, the actress is looking for ways to keep her relationship with Chris Pratt exciting and relevant, which now means taking up wrestling lessons. To aid in the newly discovered interest shared by both Pratt and Faris, the couple enlisted the help of wrestler and martial arts professional Dave Bautista.
Never before has Anna Faris seemed so tiny as when she’s putting her faith in husband Chris to lift her up in a class wrestling move with trainer and spotter Bautista aiding in the move. Faris is doubly brave for practicing the move with no mat beneath them, instead working out on a hard wood floor. Pratt successfully completes the move, and, with all three working together in tandem, Faris is soon sitting atop Chris’ shoulders.
Anna isn’t blind to the hazard they face in their first wrestling lessons, as she comments on the lack of mats, herself. As seen in the video Anna shared with her Instagram followers, the Mom actress is concerned with falling on her head.
“We’re on hard-wood floors,” Ms. Faris says in the video. “This is a horrible idea.”
Anna Faris Comments On Being One Half Of A Hollywood Power Couple
Ms. Faris is quickly becoming a media queen between her successful acting career, which includes the successful CBS series, Mom, and her new podcast advice show, while husband Chris Pratt is building a name for himself by starring in some of the most lucrative films in recent memory, including Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, earning the duo “power couple” status among Hollywood circles. Faris scoffs at the term, however.
“Power couple?” Anna says with more cynicism than one might expect from the Mom actress. “I just want to know where the power is. I’m waiting for the power in ‘power couple.'”
Ms. Faris hints that she’s thankful that she hasn’t quite achieved the level of fame that her husband is beginning to experience, because she says even that little bit of fame can be something that limits their lives. She says they already struggle with Pratt’s fame, and, while some celebrities love that part of being thrust into the limelight, neither Chris nor herself are particularly fond of that part of their professions.
Ms. Faris adds that the fame can be particularly troublesome where their son, three-and-a-half-year-old Jack, is concerned.
“We are very protective of our son,” says Anna. “The other day we picked him up from his preschool, and there were some paparazzi. He just looked at them and said, ‘Cheese!’ And I’m like, ‘OK, I’m glad that’s how you’re feeling now.'”
Although Anna tries to limit the attention she receives on the streets, she is grateful that her podcast series is doing well and seems to appeal to celebrities as much as it attracts fans and new listeners. While the concept seems simple enough, it’s a unique premise for a talk show, something that has rarely, if ever, been done. There’s nothing new in celebrity guests participating in the show, but what is different is the discussions that ensue on Anna Faris Is Unqualified.
“I wanted a format where a celebrity could come and not feel like they had to talk about themselves,” Faris says. “They can if they want to. We try to ask them light questions, and if they want to talk about some personal stuff, that’s awesome, they can totally do that. But I think it’s fun for a celebrity to be able to talk about somebody else’s life and attempt to give them advice.”
Anna says she has always had an interest in radio as much as in acting, so pursuing her podcast was the realization of another dream. She chose the title for her show to let listeners know she was just going by the seat of her pants and that she’s learning as she goes. Faris says she loves to work, so taking on a radio show and acting on Mom is a great way to keep busy and stay relevant.
