After six years and six children- three adopted and three biological- rumors that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt plan to marry have begun circulating again.
The pair’s children share the couple’s surnames, but Jolie and Pitt have never married. Both have been married before- Jolie twice, to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton and Pitt to Jennifer Aniston. Us Weekly says three separate sources have confirmed the supposed fall nuptials for the couple, and posit that the vows could take place at the couple’s property in France.
According to the magazine, the sources say that Pitt and Jolie resisted tying the knot due to restrictions on gay marriage- but Us cites Pitt’s comments about the Jolie-Pitt kids’ curiosity:
“The kids ask about marriage,” Pitt told USA Today in May of Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3. “It’s meaning more and more to them.”
While Pitt’s previous wedding was elaborate, the sources claim a Jolie-Pitt wedding would be “intimate and informal.”
