Comedian and actor Andy Dick is dating Real Housewives star Jennifer Gimenez, according to several celebrity gossip outlets.
The 47-year-old apparently bonded with the actress-turned-reality TV star over their shared battle with sobriety. Dick is currently trying to stay clean after a total of 13 rehab stints, and met Gimenez in 2009 when he was seen on Dr. Drew’s celebrity treatment program Sober House , which Gimenez helped run.
The two remained friends, but that friendship recently blossomed into romance, according to Dick’s comments to Star Magazine . In the interview, Dick admits that he has fallen hard for the 41-year-old beauty.
“I love her to the moon and back! She is so supportive,” he says.
Gimenez returns his affection, as well. “I love Andy. He is amazing,” she said.
“We are having fun dating and are so close that it just works… We’ve loved each other on a best friend level that has recently escalated to a romantic level,” Gimenez said in a separate interview .
Other sources have also complimented the Dancing With the Stars contestant on finding love with Gimenez.
“Andy and Jen are so cute together! They have a lot in common and are just all laughs and smiles when they’re together,” gushed a source.
Dick was previously married to Ivone Kowalczyk from 1986 to 1990. The couple share a son, Lucas. Dick also has a son and a daughter Lena Sved.
Gimenez has struggled on-and-off with substance abuse since the age of 12. At age 18, she started using cocaine after becoming a model. She first attempted to quit at age 20, but relapsed several times. She has now been sober for several years.
