Amanda Bynes ‘Essentially Homeless,’ Parents Say

Amanda Bynes’ parents are understandably concerned about their daughter’s well-being.

Rick and Lynn Bynes are currently seeking a conservatorship over the troubled actress. In a recent court filing, her parents said their daughter was “essentially homeless.” She also reportedly spent around $1.2 million in a relatively short amount of time.

The former What I Like About You star’s parents said that their daughter has become increasingly paranoid over the past few months. Bynes reportedly believes that she is being watched at all times, including when she stays with her folks.

“She would cover smoke alarms with towels, tape windows shut, and cover her car dashboard with cardboard and tape out of fear that cameras were watching her from inside these places,” court documents explained.

Amanda Bynes’ parents believe their daughter has developed issues with her body image. They also remarked that the troubled actress is obsessed with the way others look. This was clearly evident by her numerous posts on Twitter.

Although she had around $4 million in the bank, Rick and Lynn Bynes said their daughter is blowing through her earnings at an alarming rate. To make matters worse, they currently have no idea where the money is going.

TMZ reported earlier this week that doctors believe Amanda Bynes suffers from schizophrenia. She is currently under evaluation in California.

The actress landed in the public eye once again earlier when she set a fire in the driveway of a neighborhood in Los Angeles. It’s believed that her little dog was splashed with gasoline during the incident.

As a result of her behavior, Bynes was placed on a 5150 hold. She will reportedly be hospitalized for up to two weeks. Before Judge Glen M. Reiser rules on the conservatorship, he intends to meet with Bynes one-on-eye. Reiser believes there is no rush to make a decision since she is currently in custody.

Here’s hoping that Amanda Bynes finally gets the help she needs to get back on her feet.
