Aimée Osbourne is making music again. The daughter of Ozzy and Sharon, Aimée has released a new video and single, called “Raining Gold,” reported Rolling Stone .
If you don’t recognize the name “Aimee” when you think of the Osbourne clan, you might recognize the voice known as ARO. However, the reclusive member of the famous family has not yet unveiled her EP or even revealed her live performance dates.
The video depicts an eerie Twilight Zone -type environment, with Aimee seated while a crawling, bloody person suffers behind her.
“The ‘Raining Gold’ video naturally took on one of the messages behind the song, which is you should never assume anything about someone or a situation just because it looks a certain way on the surface,” explained the young singer.
“It’s also about coming to the realization that it’s a choice to allow someone or something to control you. I’ve experienced that a lot, from both sides. I think most people have, yet it’s one of the loneliest things in the world to feel. I wanted the song to touch on how overwhelming and isolating it feels to be constantly misunderstood and the importance of choosing to break free from that and just believing in yourself.”
What is Osbourne’s goal for the song and video?
“It’s so valuable to always try and put yourself in someone else’s shoes, I hope this song reminds people of that,” added Aimee.
To direct the video, Aimee chose Spencer Susser. Spencer previously earned acclaim as the director of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness,” according to Entertainment Tonight .
For those who wonder why they recognize the faces and names of the other Osbourne children, Kelly and Jack, Aimee is the only child of the famous couple who chose not to become involved in The Osbournes reality TV show.
However, when they were young, the family did appear on various talk shows, including Joan Rivers’ show, shown below.
Aimee admits that she initially did not want to become a musician.
“I fought it for a long time,” she confessed. “It’s natural to want to rebel against what your parents do.”
In addition to accepting music as her perfect profession, Osbourne emphasized that she desired to avoid any indications of nepotism.
“Once I accepted music was my path, I rebelled by wanting to do it my own way. I also didn’t think it was respectful to my father’s career and creativity to assume that I could jump on the back of all he had worked his entire life for.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Kelly Osbourne is also making her own career changes. Although she enjoyed being on Fashion Police when Joan Rivers helmed the show, Kelly quit following controversy surrounding remarks from co-host Giuliana Rancic.
