Adam Lambert may not have won American Idol 2009, but — love him or hate him — his performances won’t soon be forgotten. During Wednesday night’s Idol finale , Lambert took the stage with rock legends KISS to perform an anthem of classic rock hits.

The Adam Lambert-KISS teaming sent sparks flying from the stage (quite literally). The gang took on “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock and Roll All Nite” in an epic, fire-filled performance.
