Although the new Pacific Rim photo doesn’t showcase the movie’s monsters, it does give moviegoers a chance to look at a giant pile of poop.
In one of the oddest promotional releases in recent memory, the folks at Warner Bros. have decided to give fans a look at the mountains of excrement enormous creatures tend to leave behind . The image also gives moviegoers a chance to see how the manpower it would take to clean up such a mess.
Another recently-released image from Pacific Rim shows a city being constructed around a giant set of bones . Both images can be found in the gallery embedded below.
Director Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming science fiction flick tells the story of humanity’s struggle against a breed of monsters known as Kaiju. In order to save the world from this menace, scientists develop enormous robots piloted remotely by human beings.
This is how Warner Bros. describes the movie:
“When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge.
“On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the apocalypse.”
These aren’t the first images from Pacific Rim to recently come down the pipeline. An image showing a very large monstrous footprint found its way online earlier this week.

Director Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, and Ron Perlman. The film is slated to arrive in theaters on July 12.
