YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, California – incredible photographs captured a beautiful natural phenomenon of a waterfall’s reflection on a rockface, showing every color of the rainbow.
According to the Daily Mail , recent visitors to Yosemite were treated to a stunning display of color and light at the base of one of the park’s protected waterfalls. Water flowing from the the fall’s granite cliffs illuminated a fountain of purple, turquoise, orange, and gold light rising from the waterbed below. Photographer Justin Lee of British Columbia, Canada was fortunately on the scene with camera in hand to capture the wondrous display, taking several photographs from where he was standing at the park’s Tunnel View lookout.
“The sun has to be in position to get the rainbow, and this photo was not planned by me beforehand. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time,” he said. “I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to see such a sight, and just had to start taking pictures straight away.”
According to NY Daily , Lee’s primary inspiration is famous photographer Ansel Adams, arguably the most famous photographer in the history of the United States. Adams himself carved out a name for himself, coming to prominence by capturing the rare otherworldly and surreal beauty of Yosemite National Park.
