TMZ is reporting that a pawnshop in Georgia owned by 2012 American Idol winner Phillip Phillips’ family was robbed by unknown thieves on Monday night.

At the time of the break-in, Phillips and his family were reportedly in Los Angeles celebrating the singer’s release from the hospital after he underwent successful kidney stone surgery the previous week.

Authorities say the burglars used a stolen tractor to bust through the rear entrance of the shop.

“This morning officers came as there was a report of a burglary. Apparently the suspects stole a WG&L backhoe that was secured at a compound on Maple and Clark,” said APD Media Manager Phyllis Banks.

According to Billboard.com, the shop, Albany Sporting Goods and Pawn in Albany, Ga., was featured heavily during Phillips’ run on season 11 of American Idol and is currently up for sale for $200,000.

While no arrests have been made in the case as of yet, police say approximately $4,000 worth of merchandise was taken from the store, including handguns, flat-screen television sets, necklaces, rings, antique pieces and coins, and the entire cash register, which at the time had about $110 in the drawer.

Following his release from the hospital, Phillip Phillips made no mention of the pawn shop robbery via his Twitter but instead made it clear he was ready to get back to singing.

The 21-year-old singer is expected to be recovered in time to participate in the “Idol” tour which kicks off July 6 in Detroit and ends Sept. 11 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
