Lindsay Lohan barely escaped jail time after finishing her required community service of 100 hours. Although the actress took over two years to finish, it seems that her last minute “binge community service” paid off.

My News LA reports that Santa Monica, California’s Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White confirmed today that the Mean Girls actress completed her required 125 hours of community service. The required hours stem from a 2012 car accident in Hermosa Beach, California. Lohan, who was driving when she crashed into a Porsche, told police officers that she was a passenger when the accident happened, but it was later confirmed that she lied.

“I believe she has successfully completed her community service obligation to the court.”

Cutting it close is an understatement for Lohan, who only had nine hours completed just a few months ago. According to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark A. Young, Lohan was given permission to travel to New York to finish off her community service work, but in March, he warned her that if she failed to complete her required hours, she’d probably be sent straight to jail.

Along with volunteering at a childcare center in Brooklyn, Lohan completed numerous hours at the TLC Women’s Shelter, also in Brooklyn. Earlier this month, she shared a playful photo on Instagram, where she sported a revealing black dress as she helped out in the shelter’s garden.

Per court documents, Lohan was originally scheduled to complete 240 hours, which she successfully did. However, the ways in which the actress completed her hours were controversial. Lohan performed fan meet and greets, in addition to hanging out with two aspiring actors that she claimed was “work shadowing experience,” which isn’t the type of work she should get credit for, according to prosecutors on the case.

The judge agreed with the prosecutors and added the additional 125 hours to her required community service. Additionally, the actress was required to spend 90 days in a rehabilitation facility and obtain a year and a half of psychotherapy.

Lohan reached out to fans, supporters, and others today, via Instagram, thanking the people who allowed her to complete her community service in New York.

“Hard work pays off. Thank you to all those that allowed me to volunteer while in nyc. God bless you all. Amen.”

Lindsay Lohan currently lives in London, England, where she plans to stay permanently after declaring she has an easier life away from the Los Angeles paparazzi. Last year, she starred in London’s West End play, Speed-the-Plow .
